996 rear serial port and firmware update.

Ive been trying to do a firmware update on my 996 using the rewar com port however theres no response from the scanner... Is this even possible?

I've read on the forums here, I think you use the front port.

Hmm OK - I have no problems programming and controlling it through the rear port, its just BC_VUP that doesn't work for me...

When I get the cable for the front port I will try that and post up

The rear port does not work for firmware updates. You must use the front port for that.
