996 & Uniden Software: Entering Freq's To Scan ?

Hello:

New user.

I created, apparently successfully, a new system called
"air- Commercial" and have it set up as a "Conventional"

Don't want anything fancy like sub groups.
All I want to do is to be able to enter a dozen or so freq's under
this system name, and assign a Quik Key to be able to Scan all the
channels in it.

My understanding is that the hierachy is: System\Channels\Groups.
True ?
Again, I'm not interested, I think, in the sub-Group level.

Anyway, I go to System Editor\Action\Edit, but can't figure it out from here.

The "Site" tab is greyed out. Why ?
Is the meaning of "site" the same as "channel" ?

The "Group Settings" screen when opened is blank.

How do I just enter the individual channel freq's I want for the
System I just created ?
What screen do I want to pull up for this, please ?

No. It is SYSTEM/GROUP/CHANNEL.

If you want to program the unit, your interest is important in the sub-group level. In order to program channels, you must create a Group for the channels to be stored.

The system you are attempting to program is Conventional. The Site tab is for Trunked System programming.

Open UASD. Open the system .usd file you are attempting to make. Click on 'NEW GROUP'. Then click on 'NEW CHANNEL' to populate the Group. If you only want to program one channel, click on 'NEW CHANNEL' one time. Then type in the frequency on line and column desired.
