My Evansville, IN feed was fine when I retired for the night. When I awakened today, it was stuck on a control channel with all the noise that comes with that. I didn't pay attention to whether it was EDACS or SAFE-T. Is there any way for this to happen w/o someone hitting HOLD? I do have SCANNER over IP with PROSCAN but only 2 people know the PASSWORD to control the scanner. This is NOT the first time I have had this happen. Anyone have any thoughts?

My dad says he has been having the same problem with his. I just thought he was pushing the wrong button or getting some tropo coming in. I'm starting to think this is some kind of glitch with this scanners firmware. I have the latest verson on there for him.

Two things to check:

1) Make sure End Code detect is enabled for the system.
2) Make sure squelch is turned up to a reasonable level (3 or 4, minimum).

End Code

I'll have to check the END CODE but my SQUELCH is almost always on 4 for the FEEDS
