996T Tone Search Question

I know that I can lock out one tone while in tone search for a specific frequency. My question is can I unlock the locked out tone for that frequency so that if I were to tone search that same frequency again, I would receive any agency(s) using that tone? I didn't see anything about it in the manual.

although i don't own that particular scanner, while trying it on the 996xt. i had to reprogram the frequency. hope this help's.

Very easy to do with software, if you have one.
