If anybody has some helpful tips, I'm having a problem getting frequency programmed into scanner.
Local area is now in testing phase of new system, and I can't get 769.75625 fully programmed, it rounds off to 769.7562 . This is the control channel, I do hear the usual control channel , but it seems to have a pulse, unlike I've ever heard in other control channels.
I do have Butel software, basic which doesn't let the 5th digit stay, also freescan , that shows the 5th digit, but it doe snot show up in the scanner. I just see 769.7562MHZ on the screen
This is the system I'm trying to get to work St. Charles County Public Safety P25 - 700 MHz Trunking System, Countywide Simulcast, Missouri - Scanner Frequencies
I did use RR to get it loaded, that did not do much better.

I've installed whatever the one they came out with last month, unless there's been one since that one.
Funny thing is, I can get it loaded into my pro-96, which i bought when they first came out years ago.
That system won't be used for a while, so I still have a while before I NEED it.

It has absolutely no bearing on anything. 100-900 mHz frequencies are displayed as 7 digits plus the decimal point. If 769.7562 is displayed on the 996XT; you are receiving 769.75625. No diiferent than a display of 851.9625 is receiving 851.96250.

Firmware updates are irrelevant to your question.
