996XT settings for P25 (anyone have better than stock?)

Does anyone have any better settings for the P25 decode on the 996XT uniden?
I find the audio a bit warbly at times and sometimes it doesnt "let the audio pass perfectly= and no its not encrypted).

Be a bit more specific about what system you're talking about, Magic. In general, p25 settings tend to vary from installation to installation - they are influenced greatly by the quality of the signal (at least I can say that since I have a 396). A strong signal might not need much in the way of a threshold level, a weak one might need more tweaking. It sounds a little like you're not getting a particularly good quality signal. Or is this a simulcast system - in which case distortion issues are a common problem not always easily solved. 73 Mike

P25 settings

This is just a repeater thats maybe 10 miles away but I sometimes miss transmissions since the digital squelch doesnt open ,it stops and opens 90 percent of the time,other times it just stops and no audio,I hit scan and this channel comes on again and then I do have audio.
Sometimes I also listen to Montclair and the audio quality seems warbly.
