HAWG's in Nashville

Thanks for sharing your "new" A-10's with us here in Nashville. I work at the FBO they stayed at. I guess came in for the weekend to "kick it" a little. I'm assuming it's probably the same guys that stopped thru several months ago when they were flying the F-16's. I never heard any a2a comms but they did use UHF ATC freqs. They were wicked looking and i particularly like the two that had a HOG face on the nose complete with tusks and all. Nice change from the ole shark teeth routine. They used the callsign of HAWG 1.

If anyone follows this, the tail numbers were as follows:
#1: 78-0613
#2: 79-0129
#3: 78-0646

Took a lightning hit on 8/18 and have had to wait to post these. Good news was it took out my Pro-91 so I was able to replace it with a Pro-97! Those are also on sale right now.

Have been doing a frequency limited scan and caught the A-10's doing strafing and bombing runs on 139.8, 139.9 and 140.0, all AM. Have also heard them in the MOA on several of the previously posted frequencies.

As far as the nose art goes, I cannot think of a better snout for an Arkansas Warthog!
