A Couple Questions

I ave a 02 Chevy Trailblazer, with the window style antenna for onstar,My question is if i can use that antenna on a 800mhz trucked system, if i can what adapters would i need to plug it into a ej johnson 800mhz radio?

and if replacing the mast on the antenna would help, and if so, what mast would be recommended.

For receiving, that would work ok, not sure if that antenna would handle transmitting at higher power. The ONSTAR unit had a 3 watt transceiver. That unit is mounted under the passenger side back seat, you could access the coax there by unplugging from the ONSTAR unit. I can't remember which connector is used.

I pulled the ONSTAR unit in an '03 Envoy and mounted a dual band Kenwood in its place. I am running new coax for the antenna, leaving the old coax alone. I pulled the glass mount antenna.
