I just went thru the 3 month consolidated log listings in the UDXF and they show several interesting trends;
- There's a huge uptick in the number of CW reports. The Russians are known to use CW quite a bit, particularly with their AF
- There's quite an increase in the amount of STANAG traffic, particularly 4285 and 4481 protocols. STANAG (Standardized Agreement) is heavily used by NATO forces, and on occasion, you can catch them in the clear with their test tape - otherwise it's heavily encrypted
- There's a new Datalink mode being used by the Russians, and the frequencies wander all over the place, including into the amateur and SWBC bands. For more information on this mode, see diario SWL I-56578 Antonio
