Hi all, on the SDS100 on the display on top left what is the meaning and Function of FO: - SO: & DO: I am guessing it’s a quick key? I have toggled the 2 and the 3 on and off when I do there replaced by a * but I cannot get other numbers to display and this only on the FO: line I have no idea how to manipulate the SO: or DO: lines.

What is the icon between Priority and weather icons right? Looks like an eyeball

I find most info when I refer to either Sentinel or BCD436HP data! what is the best detailed book I can het I realize it’s too soon for my new toy but there are great similarities between SDS and BCD!

This is a great Radio very pleased, but reception is such I feel I can improve it by buying & using a better antenna!

I’d like to keep the Connection type as I feel it is more water tight then BNC (am I right or wrong?). I seek to buy a magnetic base that I can put same antenna on the car base that I use on the scanner! Let them both share this antenna. I do mostly fire band work, so I need best coverage on both 800MHZ and 155MHZ frequencies!

Thanks guys

The'eyeball' is Close Call.

The F, S and D represent Favorite, System and Department quick keys. For example, if you had favorites list 1, with system 1 as 'county' and system 2 as 'city', then each one of those with department types of 'fire' and 'police' you could turn them on/off by entering 1.1.2 or 1.2.1 (meaning 1 for the favorite list, 1 or 2 for the system and 1 or 2 again for the department then pressing Enter. Or, you can turn the entire favorite list off by hitting 1, then enter. Or county or city on and off by hitting 1.1 E or 1.2 E....

Hopefully that makes sense! I'm still wrapping my head around all these lists too... I'm too accustomed to the Whistler scanlist world.
