Hi there, I recently moved to Toronto and have my scanner working for Toronto Police, Fire and some EMS. I have a problem tho. All the agencies are mixed together. I'm not sure if this is because they share freq's or something like that. But what I would like to do is put them in separate banks. So bank 1 is all Fire, 2 is Police and so on. Could anyone tell me if this is possible to do ? I have 2 scanners Pro95 and Pro97.

Thanks

Simple:
Pick a bank (1-10 I guess)
Type in the control channel frequencies for what tower you want to use (i.e. Toronto South zone 8632125 & 8629625 If I am not mistaken)
Then type in (or use software if available for the P97) the talkgroups you want to use. (in this case lets say you want to use this bank ONLY for Toronto EMS, punch in the t/g's ONLY for EMS.
Scan these t/g's in ID Scan mode.

These jpg's are imported using Win96. Win97 will import the same way and the data can then be be copied to Win95 from 97. Each jpg is annotated in red as to what feature is in each bank (0 through 4). Data was imported from Toronto Public Safety Mot & Toronto EDACS EMS pages.

Hi there, I thank you both for replying to my question...I just did a little test and this is kind of odd. I added ... all those freq's for the West since I wanted to listen to Toronto Fire West . I then added Toronto Fire West Talk Groups...When I listen to the bank I added it to (bank 1) I get some Fire ops but mostly Police ...I don't know what's going on...any ideas ?

004 Widdicombe Hill (West) 859.71250 862.18750 862.43750 863.18750 866.26250 866.76250 867.26250 867.76250* 867.98750*

Toronto Fire West Command Talkgroups []

DEC HEX Mode Description
20976 51f A Operations
21008 521 A Tac 1
21040 523 A Tac 2
21072 525 A Tac 3
21104 527 A Tac 4
21136 529 A Tac 5
21168 52b A Tac 6
21200 52d A Strategic 1
21232 52f A Strategic 2
21264 531 A Fire Prevention

Edit: I might not have been 100% clear in my first post. What i'm trying to get at is this. When I have my radio turned on and am listening to it. I want to be able to hear only Toronto Fire when Bank 1 is turned on. Thewn if I want to hear what is going on with Toronto Police I can turn Bank 2 on and hear Police. As it sits right now they are all mixed together.

You may be in Open Scan mode. Press FUNC + 5 (Pro's 95, 96 and likely 97) to change the mode to Closed Scan.

so far so good, it seems to be only fire on that bank now. Will I have to do this with all banks now after they're programed ?
