A good fairly base scanner

What woul be a good mobile/base scanner that has decent memory and analog trunking only? i want it to use in my truck and house. i would like to stay below $200 if possible

Sounds good just barely over my "limit" but will consider,has what i need plus extras i could use immensely. Thanks again altec

well,i meant fairly good base scanner but it was late last nite so tiredness got the best of me :)

Im not new at scanners but im stumped on dma, i know what banks are but a bit confused on dma.

My comment are from the view point of using PC software to build and load the scanner data.

In the Bank/List method you think in terms of the destination in the radio of the state/city/county system you are creating. In the DMA method you still construct the the data by state/city/county but are not concerned with the final destination (bank #). The name of the system becomes the bank #. The quick-key assigned (BCD396T) in a sense becomes the bank # used to select and deselect scanning of the named system.

Clear as mud? :(
