Try 155.370 PL 67.0

I am 99.44% sure this is the new CH. 1. I have heard mention of a channel 4, perhaps that is the old CH. 1.

Looks like the uplink to 155.37R is 155.79m. Tracy PD (in San Joaquin County) is also licensed on the same pair. hmmmm

I think tentatively, we can say:

CH1 155.370
CH3 158.865
CH4 158.730 ????????????? (big ???)

I did indeed hear some traffic today on 158.730 that I BELIEVE was Stanislaus SO, but it was while driving around ElDo county doing 90 to nothing around hail covered hairpin turns :)

Harry has raised the burning question though, Where did Tracy PD go??

Oh, is Tracy missing? They got a new license last year on 453.975, WQAS421. Stanislaus SO on 158.73 used to boom into the Redding area at times during the Summer, same freq as Shasta SO's Ch 1 repeater.

Aside... In the early 90s Shasta SO opened a goofy repeater on either Bass Mtn or Bear Mtn for their Lake Patrol, on 453.8375, or maybe it was 458.8375. It was apparently hooked up to a multi-band receiver (scanner?) and would repeat about 20 different freqs, with 158.73 in "priority." Shasta SO, and Stanislaus, would always get picked up and repeated... along with CLEMARS, CHP, Fish & Game, USFS, CDF, Shasta CoFD, Marine Ch 16 etc etc. It was kind of fun to listen to, but you'd never get all of a conversation. I guess it was so the Shasta Lake boat patrol guys could hear what was going on around them... and in Stanislaus. When conditions were right in the summer, Marine Ch 16 from the Delta area would practically take over the thing. Big downside to this otherwise kind of clever idea was that they had no control of what they were hearing... no way to pause it on a channel or lock something out.

Sometimes I get just a bit too complacent with my frequency lists!! :)

Thanks for the input, Harry.

I didn't say 453.975 was any GOOD, just that it's licensed ;-) Is it being used?

There's a ton of stuff out there to find, listen to, and keep track of. I'm in the sticks (OK, they ARE redwood sticks) in Humboldt County, and stuff slips past me here pretty regularly. Everything is analog and conventional though, and VHF/UHF. Essentially nothing on 800, and nothing at all trunked or digital. Scanner heaven, even with a 20-year-old rig.

Yea, then look at that list of radios you've got in your sig line, Harry. There are poor people in the big city who could actually put some of them to good use! <g>

O/T intermission - Humboldt County

Touché, Mick. But what is this now, the "pick on Harry" forum? Actually I have had most of the 800-band stuff programmed in, but have literally never heard a word, even on the State of Calif, broadcast, or AIRINC freqs. Only one, and it's not on that list, is FedEx's 856.8625, but 7 or 8 years ago they dropped all voice on there and it's now strictly data.

Well, even though now we are talking about a different county, Tracy (according to the RR database) is on 155.895. I did listen to the aforementioned UHF freq. for about an hour and heard diddly squat( was listed as the "old" primary in the RRDB). Even though I don't usually listen to Tracy, I'll plug in this one and see what pops up.

Copy/paste from a post by jwpottberg on Bayscan:

Yes, as of last weekend, Stan Co SO was using 155.370 PL 67.0.
(Note: Kelty shows a PL of 103.5, they may be using that now?) This
was Tracy PD's old channel that they lost. BTW, as of last weekend
Tracy PD is using 155.895 PL 82.5, correct as Kelty shows. (They
appear to no longer use the 152.xxx channel anymore.)

Tracy and 155.370

Tracy lost 155.370 because they failed to renew it. They have supposedly let a contract for a new system, variously described as digital and UHF, but I don't know anything about it.
