We have FAQs for the Uniden DMA and Object Oriented Scanners that have keypads - it seems to me that it's time we had a similar FAQ for these 4 scanners as well. It appears we have enough data to start one - if someone who is very familiar with these scanners would take a look and clean up this mess, I'm sure the newcomers would find that very useful. To be honest, I don't know what in these 4 articles is common to all 4, or just to the 2 analog and 2 digital scanners

The most common questions- and answers - could then be gathered in one place, making them easier to find. Anyone?

I'm bumping this one up - and surprised no one answered...

Anyway, since I don't have any of these scanners, there's a few questions that need some answers...

- Do the PSR-700, PRO-18 or Pro-107 use 'Scan Sets' like the PSR-800 does?

- Is the process for loading the USB driver for these radios the same as what is already documented in the Connecting Scanners via USB article?

- The IScan software works on just the PSR700 and the PRO107? Where do you go to check to see if there's a new version?

- Does the Pro 18 use the same software as the PSR800? Where do you go to check to see if there's a new version?

- Do any of the tips found here actually work with these 4 scanners? If so which ones?

- Where do you go to get new firmware? What is the process of loading it? (I think there's a sticky for this somewhere...). I see the one just released for the 800, but what about the others?

Putting this stuff into one place will help newcomers find their way around - especially since these scanners don't have keypads like most others do...best regards..Mike

One question that is sure to come up has to do with rebanding - if it's just downloading from RR and both software packages (EZ-Scan and IScan) handle it, that can be added, as well as any other related tips...the rest is up to you
