In my opinion, one can really benefit from reading KE0FHS' Amateur Rado Notes https://amateurradionotes.com/ from the top. Toshen writes clearly, a blessing in the jargon of digital amateur radio. I have known him for a few years -- we commiserate on the defiencies of some documentation written by some programmers -- but I can't recommend anything better for the radio amateur starting out in this arena. Obviously the reader will have to get into other websites' weeds for the minutiae -- the how-to -- but Amateur Radio Notes provides a good footing. HTH.
