OK so now that I have things running ok I want to move ahead and ADD a few more frequencies to monitor. But there are a few editable files to do this which is confusing and I dont know which one(s) to use. I appears to be the "DSD Plus siteloaders file" I copied/pasted from RR database the P25 system I am listening to into the siteloader file. Attached is an NXDN 48 system I would also like to be able to monitor. But I don't know how to add NXDN and if I can include the data in the same file as the P25 system. I DID persuse those .txt files for help but there is way too much information for me to make sense out of. So would I have to make a NEW separate file to monitor this NXDN system or can I just include it in the same place I put my P25 system data? I couldn't find any sample text lines for NXDN so not sure how to actually type the data in so it will work. I was able to find the switch "-fa" to enable the monitoring of everything. But dont know if I need to use it or where to paste it. So what I am trying to say is how do you ADD other things to monitor to the existing setup? In RR there are no "pre defined report" to download and put in DSD Plus for this NXDN system. It looks like the data has to be entered THIS way: NXDN48, 51, 001 "Cranston"

WOW thats a lot of stuff! I am having trouble with all the numbers.........I dont know how to add an NXDN trunking system. It is a small local one. I am too confused with the format of what you have to type in the "sitelist" file....I cant find certain things in the RR database. Here are some screenshots of the system I want to hear but I dont have a clue how to assemble it. I read in another post how the freqs have to be entered a certain way and I cant find a "Network ID" in there. And where do I put the frequencies???

At the beginning of each of the files, Network, Sites, Frequencies, there is a line or two explaining how to format the entries. Pretty easy, follow that format.

I dont see anything about "network ID" in the screen shots I posted.....I can see everything but Network ID. The instruction in the "Trunking.txt" file TELLS you WHAT to do but not HOW to do it! If there is no "Network ID" to be found what do I do?

It would be good to edit DSDPlus. Frequencies before anything else.

A local suburb of my city is Midwest City which has NXDN 4800
First line is just a commented label for organizing. Commented out by a ; Standard procedure.

First you will need to tune to the Control Channel in in FMP24 (just enter with your keyboard then press enter) then DSD+FL will populate what it sees in the bottom of the DSD+FL window.
You want that RAN number it gives you.
;Midwest City NEXEDGE48

MODE|RAN|Site|LCN|Frequency
NEXEDGE48, 410, 1, 1, 853.1375,0.0,0
NEXEDGE48, 410, 1, 2, 852.7250,0.0,0
NEXEDGE48, 410, 1, 3, 851.1375,0.0,0

Get us the info DSD+FL says right there on the very utmost bottom of the DSD+FL Event window

OK this is what I have in the first picture below.....I tried a hack 'n yack quick attempt at entering the data in the 3 files in DSD plus folder. So then I started up the program and the output is what you see in first picture. The second picture shows all this streaming data going by.....I DID hear a brief voice transmission. Not sure I set this all up correctly.

Okay easy enough here you go:

;Radio-Phone Communications Rhode Island
NXDN48, 51, 1, 1, 451.9625, 0.0, 0
NXDN48, 51, 1, 2, 451.9875, 0.0, 0
NXDN48, 51, 1, 3, 472.1125, 0.0, 0
NXDN48, 51, 1, 4, 472.4375, 0.0, 0
NXDN48, 51, 1, 5, 472.6375, 0.0, 0

Copy those lines over to your DSD.Frequncies file. Append it don't overwrite anything else. save then DSD+FL will use it.
RAN 51 Site 1 remember that

We're here to help! I was in your shoes before. I didn't understand nothing about setting up trunked systems in DSD+FL. If it wasn't for RR I would be in the corner twiddling thumbs lol!

I don't do well with some of the instructions in those files in DSD folder. They are too vague and I tend to overthink it. I would rather have clear, to the point step by step instructions that I can easily follow. So apparently you can only monitor ONE system at a time with this set up?

If you have more dongles you can also run 1RA.bat for another system.

I think @blantonl said in a thread some time ago he is working on a system that is compatible to DSD+FL which is a work in progress. Not all systems have those files for yet. I don't know how that is coming along.

Hahahaha I think I gotta get used to dealing with ONE dongle for now! I might have room for a second one in future, but USB ports limited on this computer. Well I got it all copied/pasted all the data in all the right places. Now I can see the way it is done. I left out the last site, the "Exeter" one cause it is outta range from here. Thats way out in the country. Maybe now I can start to play with DMR.......no clue how it works. I might be back in here at some point. However there isn't much DMR going on around here.
