Heard a mobile "real person" testing analog, and what sounded like 2 different digital modes on OKC's EDACS system while I was sitting in the truck at lunch yesterday. I think he called himself "Test Car 1".
I think he was in the SE part of the county, just gave a major street and a grid number, something like V32. He had a bit of static on one of the analog transmissions.
They're getting a little bit closer.

I haven't gotten a look into OKC PD's cruisers lately but I believe that more and more are getting the 800 MHz antennas on the roofs. That could be for the MDTs though -- not sure if it's for the new EDACS system.

Could be either one, I've seen a lot of those little white boxes with 2 antennas on streetlights every other intersection or so. I'm surprised they're puting those that close to the light itself. I guess if they start getting bad interference at one they'll have OG&E change the whole light assembly.
