FARGO – The Salvation Army here let go longtime employee Steve Carbno as part of a local reorganization.
Carbno, a 13-year employee, held the position of business manager and emergency services director.
Capt. Bill Mealy said the decision to cut the full-time position Carbno held came from the Salvation Army’s divisional headquarters.
A team of volunteers led by Mealy will take over duties Carbno previously performed, Mealy said.
Mealy said the Fargo Salvation Army has been undergoing changes for the past four to five months to become more fiscally efficient. Its store at 4575 23rd Ave. S. recently closed, he said. "
