A UHF TRS system?

I have found a frequency used by a local resort PD. I searched the freq. through the fcc database, but I'm @work and don't have the specific info with me. The info that I received through the fcc indicated it was licensed for private trunking and it had 10 or so freq's listed w/ the call-sign.

I can't tell if this is a trunked system or not. I have heard different services on the same freq., however they seem to consistently stay on the same frequencies. Some (not all) of the frequencies key up for about a second every 10 seconds and in doing a pl/DPL search, I am unable to find anything. I am also not able to locate a control channel from the frequencies under the license.

I can't figure out if this is some kind of uhf trunked system. I've never seen one, but I figure it would have control channels like the 800's do. Also, what's the deal with the repeaters keying up every 10 seconds :?:

If there's no control channel, and the repeaters are 'keying-up' every 5-10 seconds, it's probably an LTR system.

The short keyup is indication of an LTR trunked system. When the system is not busy, users, who are "homed" on different repeaters, mostly stay on their channel; that's why you can follow traffic on a system when it's not too busy, if you can tolerate the short blips.

When things get busy, two or more users from different groups homed on the same channel want to access that channel, one gets it and the other(s) get "bumped" to other free channels in the system. That is why conversations could be "mostly there" but have "holes" in them, if you are not tracking with an LTR receiver.
