using a nooelec stick with sdrsharp. installed frequency scanner add on. got that working. adding a 2nd range of frequencies to search 851 to 869 for testing, and ever since it says cannot access rtl device. deleted those lines in frequency scanner scanner. still says that. rebooted, still says that. reinstalled the driver in zadig, still says that. these sdr should come with a bottle of tylenol

Does the stick show up properly in Device Manager? I have had Windows 10 replace the driver by itself.

yes, reinstalled winusb driver. still says cannot access rtl device.....went into the sdr# config file and remove the plugin. then sdr# says 1039 is an invalid value and still says cannot access rtl device

Try another program like FMP and see if it can find the SDR device. If not, completely uninstall the device including checking the box to remove the driver software. Then run zadig again. If so, then you are doing something wrong in SDR#.

reinstalled sdr# .....trying to use the frequency scanner plugin. got that working, but if you add a 3rd range to search or change the audio output or input the program stops working, says "cannot access rtl device"
i removed the frequency scanner from the plugins and the sdr# config file, still says that.
