have both landed in the area of the Badin Lake boat ramp.


Plus another NCSHP helo is making a beeline for the same area

Don't know more than that but I am leaning toward there being some H.A.R.T. training or something similar about to commence.


If anyone hears anything on VIPER that may be something associated please feel free to post it here. I'll update on anything I hear via analog tx's.

Might be the Statewide hurricane exercise that's going on. They might be on Viper Delta 2 TG or Juliet 1 which is being used for the exercise today.

Zebra or Zeus?

Zebra is used for HP units with 3 digit identifier unless Comms section changed again.

I've only heard HP units identified as NORSTATE and the last digit of tail number, IE NORSTATE 5 is N405NC

Zebra hasn't been used in almost a decade, although the zebra stripes remain on some of the pilots helmets. Ida 4 is the aviation unit identifier now.

Also HART training is in fact going on in that part of the state this week.

Ok that makes more sense then, I couldn't imagine what else they would be doing there.

Wish they would post the HART training schedule somewhere us civies could see it. It's a real pain having to figure it out on my own.

Makes tracking stuff in Pineland seem easy in comparison.

Unless the powers that be have changed access rules, a link called NC TERMS shows all statewide training activities occurring by month for many agencies including HART. Link is publicly accessible . Did not see anything for HART.
