ABC Ambulance

This afternoon, I saw an "ABC Ambulance" (A Better Choice Ambulance), southeast bound on Grand Ave in Peoria.

I didn't have a chance to see if it had a "cities served" graphic on it, or the kind or number of antennas on its roof. The vehicle was a Dodge commercial delivery van, or something similar.

I've never seen this company before, and I suspect that it was just transporting from out of town, rather than a new provider in town.

ABC ambulance is a private ambulance company associated with ComTrams. It recently was awarded CON approval through DHS to complete BLS interfacility transports. They currently have that 1 dodge typeII ambulance and an older ford type III. I believe they have a contract for BLS psyc transports.

Ambulance companies are popping up left and right in the valley! ABC Ambulance is based out of Phoenix and provides non-911 and inter-facility transport. They may have up to 5 ambulances operating in the valley.

No FCC licenses. Since they are non-911, they probably dispatch via cell phones.
