Hi all: well I am making the trip from here in Canada down to Abilene to visit my girlfriend.
I have all the ems/fire/dps etc. freques, but can someone give me the frequencies that are used by the medevac services in the area? I believe lifestar [or something similar] has operations there as base 63, but I'm not sure which frequency they [or other medevac services] operate on?
I know last time I was there, in June, the medevac's were using uhf frequencies...but I can't remember the numbers for the life of me.
Thanks in advance guys/gals.

Checking this page in the DB http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?aid=1581 shows nothing for Abilene. The closest ones are Sweetwater and Brownwood.
I don't know if there are any other air ambulances there besides Air Evac Lifeteam.

Somebody here or another group at one time posted that Air Evac uses 460.650 in Abilene, which is one of the freqs listed for Brownwood. I don't know if that is true. Nobody ever submitted it to the DB if it is. I would check 460.650 461.275 and 462.025 and see if you hear anything. The freq listed for Sweetwater may serve Abilene too.

Air Evac does a morning radio check for each base at around 8:00. If you have more than one scanner I would search the 451-465 MHz and 151-161 MHz ranges starting just before 8:00 and see if you can find them.
