If I put a "Y" spliter on the 2.5 and 3.5 mm plug on my speaker mic in my radio, will it work. I am wanting to have a little area to make my portable a moble if you will. i have the 12volt battery elminator and antenna adapter already. but want to run the audio to a amplified speaker so basicly the speaker mic will be just a mic. i planned on unhooking the speaker in the speaker/mic.

Thoughts...... ideas.......
