Today I heard Brookline Ambulance dispatched to a call in Mason. On 153.785 I could hear the dispatcher and the Brookline Amb units (5A32, 5A, 5A29). PL was 82.5. I was getting a 3 bar signal. I didnt get a chance to check the other channels at the same time. In any case - it sure sounds like a repeater. But I suppose it could be a patch from some other freq.

159.30 R might be the Hollis PD repeater. I wonder if 154.8075 is the input to 159.30 R?

Monday - 28 May 2012 - 159.30 R - 615 PM - pager test heard (possibly for Brookline FD and Hollis FD)

What I have detail on:

154.0025: this is both a mobile repeater(s) to BFD low band and, using a separate PL, a VHF channel for fireground operations. Brookline ambulance only carries VHF radios whereas BFD carries both (or maybe mostly VHF portables). In theory BFD officers (on VHF portables) use the mobile repeater PL and everyone else uses the talkaround PL and all portables are CSQ on RX.

153.785 is the output of Brookline PD/Brookline Ambulance repeater (input 158.8275).

There are a few 450Mhz control channels and different PLs from Hollis PD (dispatch center) to the Bear Hill and Ball Hill antenna sites (USCC co-los).

There is a repeater on 453.3625+ that also cross-bands to low band for incoming mutual aid companies to use for FD.

OK thanks alot. I bet that means that 153.9125 is the input to 159.30R for Hollis PD.

Saturday at noon I heard Brookline FD do a pager test on 33.72 PL 136.5

If 158.8275 and 153.9125 are both repeater input channels, then the dispatcher must be using a pretty high powered control station (FX1) on those channels. I can hear the dispatcher on both of those freqs down here near Boston.
