Hi everyone, just thought I would ask for direction here. I have this scanner and was wandering if I want to use the power supply that came with it, does the battery circuit get bypassed. I am using regular batteries, not rechargeables , but want to conserve on them and use the power cube. The manual doesn't say the battery circuit is bypassed. I don't want to damage the batteries or the scanner mostly. I know the manual says about the both batteries holders. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? thanks, santana

If you use the black battery insert, the battery power will be bypassed when the adapter is plugged in. This is the correct case for Alkaline batteries to prevent accidental charging with your adapter as well.

thanks

thanks Dave for the quick reply. yes I am using the black case for the regular batteries. and that makes sense to have 2 different cases for two different battery sources to prevent charge the regular batteries. thanks alot Dave.
