I've been looking in the RR database for Hays County EDACS freqs used in and around San Marcos.

The PD freqs are a no brainer, but what agencies use Hays "County Com" for example or what are the busy freqs in the San MArcos area?

What about "Ranger" freqs???

I'll be across the street from the Central Texas Medical Center. Any hospital freqs or MEDEVAC helicopters freqs would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any help!!

All the "Com" talkgroups are common channels usually among public safety angencies. They are mainly used as "talk" channels or used for large incidents. If you are looking for busy talkgroups, listen to all of them. Hays County usually stays pretty busy with something going on.

The Rangers are the San Marcos park rangers. I dont' usually hear much traffic, but every now and then on the weekends it gets good.

CTMC has a talkgroup on the LCRA system for pt reported from San Marcos/Hays Co EMS.

460.825 should be the primary channels for AirEvac out of CTMC.

Thanks!

Hey! Thanks for the input about San Marcos. I've also programmed Caldwell County since it's like a stones throw away.

Last time I was in Sam Marcos I just put the VHF freqs in my scanner, but since I'm going to be living there I'm putting the EDACS sys in.

Thanks again!!
