This is refering to the now closed listing on the for sale forum... about the $7.00 Ericcson antenna... Did you all get yours in the end? I assume so.. can't believe how impatient some people are.

SO.... What do you think?

I am really impressed... after a lot of testing.. it is for sure BETTER than the RS800 without a doubt on my Pro-96 on my local P25 system.

I was really mad to see that thread closed due to some idiots complaining and fighting.. I want to hear more about what people think about this antenna.

As I said in that thread it is as good or better than any other antenna I have for 800MHz. That includes the expensive 800 MHz Seeker http://www.radiobooks.com/products/sek800.htm.
It looks very much like the Antenex 800MHz but that is listed at 8" and this is 9"

I have better reception on 800 MHz with mine compared to the Radio Shack 800 MHz portable antenna that I was using with my Pro-96. Good deal and better reception, it works in my book.

Where else can you buy that same antenna... I bought only 1... mistake... I want another couple. Are they available for new from some antenna sites? I wonder how much they cost vs. this deal.

I really like it. Really does outperform the RS800.. and THAT is a great antenna!

If it is the Antenex as I believe it is they go for around $30. I think we really got a great buy on those. I wasn't going to get 2 of them, but then figured why not. In my 40 years in the hobby I think I've spent as much money on antennas as I have on radios.

I think you are right.. looks like one of these... and here's more info... the second one from the left in the photo looks exactly like it.

I was peeved that the other thread got locked (not at the mod, but the poster who forced the issue)...I wanted to post that I received all 3 of mine, exactly as described.

I put that shipping was neither fast nor slow, but it was certainly reasonable and no negative marks anywhere on their feedback.

Would gladly do business with them again.

I like the antennas. They *seem* to be as good or better than the RS 800 antenna, but that's subjective. Was a worthwhile purchase IMO.
