Well, my 395T's adapter suddenly developed an open connection at the DC plug. I was able to verify this with a meter, getting 6.3 volts (no load) while wiggling the wire.

I was wondering if there is an after market plug that can be installed on the wire. Found a thread here where a RS adapter w/B plug was used. Prefer not to go that route.

Also, would like to verify that the center conductor is +.

Thanks.

O.K., went to my local RS store today and picked up a coaxial power plug SKU #274-1532. Soldering was a little tricky; had to cut the wire ends twice.

As stated, this is for my 396T. This is a straight plug with no strain relief, but the body is about an inch long, so there's plenty of meat to grab onto with thumb and forefinger. The hole at the rear is not much bigger than the wire, so I really couldn't rig some strain relief.

Price was $3.19 for 2. This particular SKU is not listed on the RS page, and can be found in the 'chest of drawers'.
