Okay I got my BCT15X out of storage and so far haven't been able to find the AC adapter. Could I use the adapter from my BC895XLT until I find the original adapter? The adapter that I have shows an output of 13.8 VDC 500 ma and the manual says that the BCT15X needs 13.8V DC 750mA Regulated. Is that a problem? Thank you for any and all help.

It will probably be fine. The scanner's rated current draw is a worst-case scenario (maximum volume, backlight on full brightness, etc.), plus a fudge factor. The 436HP is rated to draw 500mA, but I've never gotten it to draw 300mA, even after installing an internal GPS and a battery charge mod that charges the batteries while the scanner is on. Most of the time it draws between 200-250mA. As long as the connector dimensions and polarity are the same, I wouldn't worry too much.
