AC Airshow TOMORROW

I have my scanner and camera ready to go with all the frequencies found in the wiki over the past years. A friend of my parents' son is driving the Geico motorboat so that should be interesting to watch. This is my first time going to the airshoow I dont know quite what to except. If anyone wants to meet up my cell#201-390--8344......

Unfortunately, just yesterday, all AC public service (PD, FD, etc) has switched to a new trunked system which is only receivable if you have a P25 Phase II scanner...and there's not much info available yet on the talkgroups. What's worse is that PD is reportedly encrypted.

Regarding the show... I've gone many times. Your best bet is to be on the beach in front of the Tropicana +/- a few blocks. The acts use the Trop (really the Ritz) as show central. Dump your chair right at the water's edge and enjoy.

It's a great show... have fun.

The guy driving the GEICO boat is the son of my parents's friends. Was disappointed in the fact there wasn't a lot of marine radio traffic. I heard the airboss mainly on VHF
