ACARS Newbie Question Alert

Hi all,

Newly back to the forum after 10 years away.

I'd like to monitor ACARS with a portable scanner and my laptop.

Seems doable?

Any suggestions on a Uniden/Bearcat/Other portable scanner that would fit this bill?

I'd only be monitoring amateur frequencies and aviation so I think a conventional scanner would suffice.

A cheap (around 25 of your monetary units) rtl device will do the job better with some free software. Will also give you the option to play about with some digital stuff too should you so wish.
