I'm receiving ACARS on 136.965 in wide FM mode, I am using ACARSD and I am seeing messages just like receiving it in AM mode. Does anyone know if this is a new US frequency or mode? All my previous ACARS reception over the years is in AM mode. When I switch the mode to AM it doesn't receive the typical sounds thats ACARS makes.

Did you try listening on 136.975?

Your a little off freq so listening in the WFM mode you would still hear it.

136.975 is technically ACARS, but it's VDL-2 mode (globally, where available) and it sounds nothing llike conventional ACARS. Matter of fact it's a very short blip of RF by comparison and it will not decode with conventional ACARS decoding software. It sounds to me like the O/P has an intermod situation where one of the frequencies involved is a known ACARS frequency, or just plain overload of his receiver.
