Hi all, this is my first post here, hope it's in the right place.

The Profile Picture I uploaded for my account doesn't display. I tried everything I could think of with the image file size, dimensions, format, suffix case, and much more but nothing worked. However, I could upload the same image to the "Shack" photo section just fine.

Finally I decided to look at the HTML source for my user profile page and I think I have identified the problem. The image link in the HTML is:

<img src="http://u.radioreference.com/profile/1055481.jp" alt="" />

And as you can see there is a missing "g" at what should be "1055481.jpg".

When I manually paste that URL into my browser, not surprisingly I get a 404 error. When I add the missing "g" to the same URL, the image is found displays correctly.

So this seems to be an issue on the site's end and (surprisingly) nothing I've done, I think.

Anyway, that's my "bug report" in full and hopefully someone can verify and fix it. Thanks!

To reiterate, this is regarding my RadioReference.com profile photo, not my forum avatar. My forum avatar works as it should.

When I look at your public profile, the little black box with the "x" in it (where the pic should be) shows a file name of...

Code:
[URL]http://u.radioreference.com/profile/1055481.jp[/URL]
when I right click on it and click on "properties".

The "g" in jpg is missing. As you mentioned, if you complete the jpg you will see the pic. Maybe shorten the file name to see if the system will insert the "g".

It still appears as broken with the same bad link to me. I just cranked up a different browser to double check and the image is also broken. Thanks for trying though.

Thanks fxdscon, I thought of that, but the file name is created by their image hosting system and is not controlled by me. The image file I uploaded was named "profile2.jpg" but anything I upload gets renamed/saved as "1055481.jpg" after I upload it.

I've moved this back to the Systems Administration forum as this appears to be a problem with the main site software not the forums software.

You'll probably need to contact the webmaster for help on this one.

Try support@radioreference.com

I found the problem - it was related to us crossing the 1 million registered member mark. It's been fixed - you should be able to re upload your profile photo and it should work fine now.

Thanks,
