Im going to try and get some pictures of omaha fire dealing with the current hazmat incident at the rail yard of Gifford Rd. A tanker car is leaking acid into the air and they have 13th street shut down and the South Omaha bridge.

FYI -
Channel 7 and I believe Channel 3 are both referring to this as being a "Union Pacific" train, but the location is clearly BNSF's Gibson Yard area.
Could this have been a UPRR train that happened to be switching cars at Gibson?

You're correct Realgeo, its not UPRR it is BNSF. They must have missed the huge sign at the yard entrance that even says that. ha.

Just some more pix I snapped today.
On going clean up response. HazMat Response, Inc., was who helped in the clean up effort.
Cleaning up the acid and sand.
KETV back for an update.
KETV's boom aerial truck, and the mast was swaying pretty good in the steady wind!
Tank car to the right was the one that was leaking. They're cleaning up the sand from the cleanup response.
Back to business as usual in the yard.
