MOA LTR

Looks like The Mall of America LTR system may have changed the LCN of their system, The home channel changed for the security talkgroup to the one that is shared with Ancom's system. Don't have the freq of that handy but it's a real treat to listen to the MotoTurbo signal fighting with the MOA signal.

Wonder why they changed?. I have not had time to figure out the new LCN.

Some if not all there talkgroups have moved home channels again. Heard housekeeping tonight on LCN 11-463.2750, talkgroups were 0-11-xxx instead of 0-13-xxx.

Thank you for the tip. I was there today and noticed the change. That is another great example of why I prefer to monitor trunked systems in the TRUNK SEARCH mode and then lock out nuisance talkgroups. If I had been in the TRUNK SCAN mode, I would not have heard anything!

Also Mystic Lake has gone Nexedge.

Mall of America switched there home channel from 13 to 11 so all talkgroups now start with 11 instead of 13.

Did Mystic switch completely over, I noticed about 2 weeks ago that it seemed like the number of active frequencies on the UHF LTR system was reduced.

It's my understand Mystic is all Nexedge, have not heard a peep from them.

This is a good thread. We should continue to map out the LTR systems in the metro area, something new to monitor since ARMER is pretty well nailed down.

Just tried the Mystic channels that had still had LTR and all Mystic channels have switched to Nexedge.

i have an HT1250 that ive set up to monitor MOAs system. before the change it worked perfectly and since then even after switching all the talk groups to 0-11 i still am not hearing anything. anybody have any other ideas of what else may have been changed recently?

I have no experience with the 1250, but on my Icom and Kenwood radios, I had to got to the frequency list for the system and change the home channel to 11.

Mall of America is in the process of switching to a Kenwood Nexedge system. No time frame given yet for the changeover.

As of today they have not applied for the system modification on there license to use NXDN . I am surprised they have stayed on LTR as long as they have.
