Evening all,

New York Radio working RESCUE 333 among others. New York is pretty weak, but to other aircraft she did say "active coast guard search and rescue mission" with instructions regarding 100 mile radius of a given position. Couldn't copy the coordinates or the instructions.

Wish 8916 wasn't so darn noisy this evening...

thanks,
ben

Defiantly something big going on. Got Air force Rescue 60978 also in contact with NY on 8906 USB. USCG is active on the COTHEN HF Network and Canforce Rescue 333 is on 5717USB. Still don't know what the mission is.

Put this into google maps and zoom out 37.152 , -050.088 (at least I think this correct???) - it seems a ways from shore though.

rescue 60978 is resuming search with new coordinates of 3843N and 055W

Rescue-307 just reported 1 hr 30min for fuel or of fuel. I think 307 is heading back to St Johns 5717USB. Since the SAR area is such a long distance away fuel has got to be a problem.

Just to update the HF freqs in use are as follows:
NY ATC NAT-A 8906USB
Halifax Military (SAR) 5717 USB
USCG is using the HF COTHEN Network automatic link establishment (ALE) voice.

Anybody note any other freqs in use?
