7600 is active with a helo and traffic stops, hearing Charleston, Darlington, and a couple other counties are all involved.

It manily deals with SCHP Zone 5/Troop 5.....the broadcast you hear from charleston are mostly when the SCHP Zone 6/Troop 6 passes into Troop 5 District......they must tell headquarters they are in the district.......but 7600 is Zone 5/Troop 5
7600 is LE Common Troop 5.
It's likely an intensive traffic enforcement/drug interdiction effort that brings officers from across the state to focus on one particular area for a week. They've done something similar along I-85 in Spartanburg a couple of times in the last 18 months. Very interesting listening to hear officers from different agencies working together. If they're working I-95, I'd expect a lot of drug seizures.
The cool thing is that all agencies that participate get to share the money confiscated during the operation.

Units from all over SC were running an interstate 95 and interstate 20 interdiction all day yesterday and well into the morning. The last units I heard were around 3 am this morning still stopping cars on I95 and I20 in Florence county. Did not hear much of drug seizures, but just some simple possession charges being thrown into the mix.
I think this interdiction is done every second week in March, and it does make for some good listening.

There are usually two or three good high speed pursuits during an effort like this, so keep listening. The out-of-town units don't know the area well, so the locals use the radio to direct them during the pursuit.

what i heard was they was looking for a guy that ran from them that they thought thay shot and they had two in coustody and they was asking for air support and there was other countys involved cause they went 10-0 which means chase in progress dont know how they ended up shotting at one of the guys they polled over thoughCaesar said:
