Anyone in Adair Co. Know the frequencies for their new ISICS TG's? Right now I have programmed the adair County site Frequencies listed on this website in the database, I don't know if that's for Adair Co Itself or for ISP, but I am looking for Frequencies and talk groups. I am able to do encrypted, I just would like to know if anybody knows the couple ISICS Talk group they have already and the frequencies if they're different from what is listed under in adair county tower on radio reference database. Thank you. I do know that once they go into full effect on to the ISICS System, they will use interop 4 for Communicating with surrounding agencies like our area. But any frequencies and talk groups that anybody can give me so I can update my radio if the frequencies are different than what is listed on this website's database for adair County, I would greatly appreciate assistance. Thank you again.

Everything you are asking for is right here:

The radio only needs the control channels which have been documented as provided in the link above.

The primary/dispatch talkgroup have been identified for the state patrol. If a officer isn't using the tower you are listening to, you won't hear any radio traffic. That is how trunking works, no way around it. You may been to scan/monitor more than 1 site to hear everything your looking for.

I understand how trunking works, Been programming and listening half my life, Not trying to offend you, but I'm well aware of how to program a radio, I'm just asking for some assistance from somebody that lives in the area, Or for that matter, anybody else who just happens to know, the 2 tower frequencies, I would greatly appreciate somebody letting me know what they are as well as any known talk groups. There's actually 2 towers, Adair County North, Adair County South. So all I'm asking for is anybody knowing those frequencies to please let me know and I would greatly appreciate it. One tower for sure has not been listed yet in the ISICS Radio reference data base page. They have one tower for adair county, but obviously it's not been updated for the 2nd tower. They built a second tower near Greenfield, which is the South tower. So again I'm just looking for the correct frequencies and Any known associated talk groups, if nobody has talk groups, I've can always set my scanner to ID search instead of ID scan Until I get the correct talk group and then I can save it.. Right now I just basically want the frequencies for the North and South tower. By the way the map site for one tower that is posted in the radio reference database page, just by looking at the site location, that appears to be Adair County North, just simply by looking at the map of all the towers for this Iowa system, According to a link that was posted under the Iowa Statewide Interopability Communications System thread with in the state of Iowa forum page. I'm sure you all know that's right now, but here are the 2 links
It's basically exactly on the mark of where the Adair County North tower sets according to the map, And it also compares almost exactly to the pin point of when you click on that site tower from the database page and it brings up the map and the circle radius that it covers, both the map and that are almost the exact same spot so I am going to assume that is Adair County North,, And again, I'm not perfect so I may very well be wrong, I'm just kind of putting 2 and 2 together based on site location and the map location through that link I stated above in regards to were the North tower is, but I'm looking for both towers if that's not the correct north tower as far as Frequencies go, if anybody does no North and South tower frequencies and any associated talk groups F you know them, I would greatly appreciate somebody posting the frequencies and if you know any associated talk groups, please post them as well. Here are the links till a 2 sides I was telling your bout with then the Iowa statewide interroptability communications system thread showing maps and the yellow one showing location of sight tower.

Thanks again.

As far as I know, "Adair South" is a microwave tower only. No voice communications on 7/800MHZ. Based on your location, you would want to monitor Adair, Springbrook, Dallas Co Simulcast, and the Winterset sites.

Tim,

not to sound stupid or for that matter lazy, I know I can program my radio, but if you wouldn't mind giving me a little hellp what frequencies should I input, since you're saying there's no Adair South tower frequency, what exact frequencies should I have programmed into my radio other than the actual Adair tower that is listed on the database which I do have programmed into the radio under the new ISICS-ADAIR COUNTY system I added with it's own quick key, if you would so kindly list the frequencies and then I can go into my Software and program them but I noticed you mentioned Dallas County and winterset, if you could list the frequencies for me to program I would greatly appreciate it. Again not that I'm lazy, I know I can go on to the database and look at each tower and their frequencies, but if you're willing to simply post them that would be less work for me to do and I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Tim,

Not that I'm lazy and can't take the time to go into the database and program the towers you listed, but it would take much less time for me if you could simply post the frequencies you suggested. I already have the Adair County tower listed in the database programmed into my new bank labeled ISICS-ADAIR COUNTY, with its own quick key number, but you mentioned that the Adair County South tower probably doesn't have frequencies, and I know you mentioned the Dallas County simulcast, springbrook, and the Winterset tower, but it would make it a lot easier for me if you could just simply post the frequencies other than the Adair County tower that's listed in the database which as I stated above according to the statewide map, based upon the location of all of the Iowa statewide interopability Communications system towers, clicking on the actual Adair County tower, And looking at that statewide map, both locations appear to be in the exact same spot, leading me to believe that the Adair County tower listed in the Database, is more than likely the Adair County North tower, and since you're saying there's no Adair County South tower frequencies, beinhs your assuming or saying it's microwave only, if you could post the Dallas County, Springbrook, and the Winterset Frequencies, that will make it a lot easier for me to go into my Arc Software and program the remaining control channels minus the Adair North tower which I already have programmed into that new system, I just need the other frequencies. Right now, they only have two talk groups programmed, one is squelch only and 1 is encrypted so obviously as of now those 2 talk groups will do nothing for me, but by the end of the next couple months there wanting to have everything switched over, and somehow I'll get those talk groups, whether someone ends up listing them and the database or I just simply do an ID search instead of ID scan, And I can eventually get the talk groups that way. They're going to have two law dispatch talk groups, one for North and 1 for South, and then 3 tactical channels and then the encrypted channel and then fire and EMS will upgrade as well. So right now I'm just intrested in the frequencies to get that started and then once they upgrade completely I'll worry about talk groups, I do know that we may be getting a radio from AC, since part of our fire and EMS district covers Adair County, but I won't have any way of downloading that radios information to get the talk groups, not to mention I probably won't even have access to the radio because more than likely it will be a base radio inside of 1 of our trucks, so all I'm really needing is the remaining frequencies to program. So, if you could so kindlypost the frequencies I need, again, minus the North tower which I already have programmed, assuming that in is that correct North tower, I would greatly appreciate it. I do have the Springbrook frequencies but I've got them programmed under area B for state patrol, so it would be a lot easier If you could just simply post the frequencies here and then I can use my software and upload them into my scanner. Thank you very much in advance.

Go to the page. Find the towers near you. Program at least the control frequencies, though it can be a good idea to go ahead and post them all. You shouldn’t expect anyone to list the frequencies for you, that would defeat the purpose of the database.

It is always possible there are additional towers/frequencies not yet identified. That most easily done by people in the area.

Chris,

The point of the Radio Reference database is that it is always updated by its users who are in the local area of the systems they keep current. If everyone started posting database information in the forums, that data would get outdated and stale as that same information was updated within the database. The problem with that is if people searched in the forum for freqency lists, talkgroup IDs, etc., they would find that old, stale data and try to use it, thus using (possibly) incorrect and outdated information that is most-likely more up-to-date within the actual database.

The main point here is to not expect people to post frequencies, talkgroup IDs, etc. in the forums, but to do a small bit of research and find the information you need within the database. It's very simple to use and extract the required information from. It's organized by state and county, so finding the information you need shouldn't be too difficult. For instance, here's the link to Adair county: Adair County, Iowa (IA) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference, which I was able to get to by clicking on the state of Iowa on the US map, then the county of Adair on the Iowa map that subsequently came up on the next page. I could also have selected the sate of Iowa then the county of Adair from the drop lists on the front then state pages - either way I got to the same page. Once at the Adair county page, I came up with the following data:
Frequency License Type Tone Alpha Tag Description Mode Tag
151.02500 KNDN846 RM125 DPLAdairSh DispSheriff Dispatch FMN Law Dispatch
154.32500 WQAX334 BMCSQAdairCoFireFire Dispatch FMN Fire Dispatch
151.31000 WPVB896 RMBridgeH20ResBridgewater Rescue FMN Emergency Ops
155.16000 WZU291 BM192.8 PLAdair Co EMSEMS to Adair County Hospital FMN EMS Dispatch
159.37500 WQQN858 BMCSQAdair EMA 1EMA Channel 1 FMN Multi-Tac
158.80500 WQQN858 BMCSQAdair EMA 2EMA Channel 2 FMN Multi-Tac
151.02500 KNDN846 RM110.9 PLAdairCoRdDepRoad Department FMN Public Works

Once you get to that page, there's also a row of buttons along the top of the page
Use those links to get to more information for Adair county, including the FCC license holders within that county which will allow you to determine who owns what towers, and what frequencies each use.

Well, enough information for now. Go forth and have some fun exploring the database. There's plenty of information there that should keep you busy for quite some time.

Have fun! :)
