I hope i am posting this question in the correct area of the forums. I apologize if not..

I live here in Adams County Ohio and I know all of the talk groups here in the county for all law enforcement and squads and Fire and I even know the input frequencies that are used from there portable's and mobile radios to the tower sites which are in 806-807mhz range, But my question is what would be the talk around frequencies that they would use to talk directly to one another when they don't want to use the talk groups to transmit over the Ohio Marcs sites. And i am talking about country law enforcement, because i would not think that they would be using the input frequencies for the Marcs sites..Thanks in advance for all reading this and all responses...

I can't answer to your county, but it's been monitored elsewhere with users keying up on conventional national (800s) interop channels that avoid the trunked radio system.

Also, some users still have legacy conventional equipment still in their patrol cars that they use to avoid MARCS as well.

I worked with a guy that literally had no idea what those channels were, he was just thrilled we could operate without them going over the network. 😂
