ADAMS COUNTY - The Colorado State Patrol says a 3-year-old was taken to The Children's Hospital Monday night after being hit by a car.
The incident happened in the 1100 block of West 69th Avenue in unincorporated Adams County.
The child was in the street at the time, according to troopers.
Troopers say the driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene.
The child's name was not immediately released.
No other information was immediately available.

LOCATION: 1141 W. 69th Avenue. Near Mariposa St.- Adams County.
On 5-19-08 at approximately 8:40 P.M. Troopers responded to 1141 W. 69th Avenue.
A green 1994 Ford Tempo was traveling westbound on 69th Avenue and a seven year old boy was running in a southbound manner from the residence of 1141 W. 69th Ave.
The male pedestrian attempted to cross 69th Avenue and was struck by the Ford Tempo. The driver of the Ford immediately stopped and rendered aid to the child.
The restrained driver of the Ford has been identified as Bernadette Goodson, 21 of Denver, CO. Goodson sustained no injuries.
The pedestrian has been identified as Aldo Padilla, 7 of Denver, CO.
Padilla sustained minor to moderate injuries and was transported to Children's Hospital.
Alcohol, drugs and speed are not suspected as contributing factors.
Goodson will not be charged.
