FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: DATE: 07-09-08 TIME: 5:00 P.M.
On July 9, 2008 at approximately 8:35 A.M., Colorado State Troopers responded to a fatal crash on Highway 79 north of milepost 7 in Adams County. A white 1995 International F-8100 truck was southbound on Highway 79. The vehicle drove off the right side of the road. As the vehicle came back onto the road, it rolled 1/2 time onto its top and slid across Highway
79 for 200 feet. The vehicle went off the left side of the road and came to rest on its top, facing north.
The unrestrained male driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adams County Coroner.
Alcohol or drugs are not suspected as contributing factors.
This crash remains under investigation and an update will follow as more information is obtained.
