ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. -- Two men working on a home in unincorporated Adams County were killed Monday morning when the basement exploded and caught fire.
The men's identities are not known. The people who live in the home, located at 71st Avenue and Zuni Street, were not inside, said Adams County Sheriff's Sgt. Candi Baker.
Adams County deputies, who were called to the structure fire at around 11 a.m., arrived to see the home billowing with smoke. Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters found two dead men in the basement.
