Add a feature so listeners can post alerts

Just a suggestion and sorry if their are other threads about this...

As a feed provider, I am the only one that can post alerts to my California Highway Patrol scanner feed. The alerts feature is great, but being that I rarely even monitor my feed makes it useless to the many listeners it has.

If there would be a feature so that logged-in listeners could post alerts I think that would benefit all the feeds.

Anyone have any comments on this suggestion?

(By the way, my forums user-name is different than my regular RadioReference.com - Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference user-name. That's why it doesn't show me as a feed provider)

This has been brought up multiple times and its on the to do list.

As a provider you should listen to your feed as much as possible so you can check for any issues/problems your feed is having.

Also would you like me to change your feed user name to match with your forum user name? if so send me the link to your feed.
