Adding date field to database

Has any thought been given to adding a date field to the database? This field would show the date of changes/additions to the rows of data.

Having that information would be helpful in knowing whether information is new/changed particularly after the typical highlighted time has passed.

I know this may be a ton of work. Perhaps a "startup date" could be applied and changes occuring after the start-up date have a "real" date in the field.

I would love to see this! I usually start programming my scanners all over again because it is too difficult to identify everything that has changed.
