Adding more frequency

I have a bct15x scanner, and i programmed it using the freescan. My question is, if i could load up more frequency into my scanner using freescan. Im afraid that i might delete the one's that i already programmed into my scanner. I also ran to problem with my scanner. After i programmed the software into my scanner, i started to check the weather channel. But when i put it back to scanning, it started scanning the preprogrammed, and the custom channel from 1 to 10. I tried to put it back to the frequency that i programmed. So i deleted all the frequency that i up load into my scanner, and then i used the freescan again to download to scanner. So is they're way you can put it back to scanning without the preprogrammed. Sorry if my questions are confusing.

Some folks use the ERASE ALL SYSTEMS AND SETTINGS option in the upload form to insure that you start with a clean slate. As a precaution, it's always a good idea to download your current contents as a backup - that way if something gets hosed, it's a snap to restore it.

O okay , thanks. I'll go that route, and delete it. And also, what are the custom channel for, can i remove or delete from scanning. Everytime i want to listen to my local PD, it goes to custom channel instead.

Where are you? What system are you trying to program? It's a little hard to diagnose this without seeing it...

If by 'custom channel', you mean that P25 form that comes up when programming trunked systems - forget it. It's hardly ever needed. Mike

I am in Arizona, in navajo county. I have holbrook, and winslow PD programmed, but when i want to listen to those 2 that i programmed, it scans all the preprogrammed, including the custom channel. In your right about the custom channel, im trying to remove from scannin it. How do i get rid of the custom channel?

Everything should be set in FREESCAN before you upload to scanner. If custom searches are on after you upload, turn them off in Scanner/Setup Scanner Options. Do not be afraid to click on every option and learn what they do. You have the option to control everything in the software.
