Hello,

I just bought the Uniden BCD396T (My first Trunk tracking scanner).
Could someone please help me understand what information to use.
I have entered all of the freqs (control and voice), set the correct system
type (MOT 800 Standard). What I don't understand is what the DEC and HEX
numbers are, and where they go. The manual says that it might be possible
to just enter the base freqs, spacing, and offset. Then set the scanner to
do control only scanning. I'm confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If this is the system your talking about http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=1319 then you haven't sey the correct system type it's a Motorola UHF system not 800. You only need to program in the control channels but never hurts to program them all in. You will need to set the Base, Step/Spacing and Offset since it is a UHF system.
Forget about HEX it's going to be the DEC you will program in for the TGIDs

Thanks and sorry.

Jerri,

That did it. Thank you very much!

Wayne,

Sorry about posting in the wrong location, I'll pay attention to the "stickies" in the future.
