Pretty sure unit IDs can only be stored & not custom named in the 325p2. You can custom name Unit IDs with the x36HPs and SDSx00s

From Easier to Read BCD325p2 manual...

To enter a Unit ID (Radio ID), press (.)no once then enter the ID and press E/yes.
Notes: To view unit IDs you have to turn the option on in the 'Settings' menu. Other channel attributes (alerts, etc.) will not be applied to Unit ID channels.
To enter hexadecimal IDs see Entering Text.

Yes, you can name the unit ID's, you have to save the ones you can identify in the same columns as your talkgroups and just give it an alpha tag

Bcd325p2 can view the UID alias from the transmission that is being sent however it cannot be saved, added or changed, it can only be viewed if the nxdn/dmr or p25 radio from which its coming from transmits it. Just the sdsxxx and bcdxxxhp series scanners can save and edit the unit id into alpha tags
