After Charles S. noticed there were some DPD TGs getting patched on occasion while he did not see them on the normal patch channels at the same time, I did some checking and found they added quite a few SAID patch TGs to the system. Additionally, I found that one SAID Patch TG listed in RR has never been used.

These are what is already listed in RR but the first TG has never been used.
( Denver Public Safety Trunking System, Denver, Colorado - Scanner Frequencies )

DEC AFS Mode Alpha Tag Description Tag
1537 12-001 A PATCH 1537 SAID Patch Interop (THIS ONE HAS NEVER BEEN USED)

1539 12-003 A PATCH 1539 SAID Patch Interop
1540 12-004 A PATCH 1540 SAID Patch Interop

Each EDACS system has it's own set of SAID talk groups assigned to it for use across the Stargate for patches. Here is the list that I have compiled over the years (TG IDs are decimal):

Arvada/Westminster: 1025-1039
Aurora: 1-15,
Denver: 1537-1551, 1793-1807
Lakewood: 513-527

I haven't spent any time on the DIA system to figure out what SAIDs they are using. I assume we're doing this so that older scanners that don't follow patches can get to the SAIDs?

Do we want to put these into each of the EDACS systems? If so, technically all SAIDs should go into all of them since it has been my experience that the SAID will propagate across the Stargate if, say, Aurora patches a PD talk group to BLUE SE.

That's a great idea about the other SAIDs being included for the other systems too. I thought the ones on the Aurora EDACS ( Aurora Trunking System, Aurora, Colorado - Scanner Frequencies ) were all of them but it only has 1-4 (not 5-15). Aurora uses their patch TGs quite a lot less than Denver, so I have not looked through their EDACS patch data lately.

I've only included the list of SAID patch TGs for Denver because these are the ones that are actually being used now and some were missing from the RR listing that already existed and one was never used but has been listed.

Looking back through collected data from the last 2 years, 1537 has never been used for patching on the Denver system and that is listed as a SAID patch on RR. As far as I can tell 1807 has not and is not being used either.

The ones I listed in the original post are the ones that they cycle through each one, and go through the entire list once every few days when patching TGs. So the pattern becomes really clear when each one is cycled through until the entire list I included is used and then they start over at the beginning (1538-1551 and 1793-1806). 1537 and 1806 are not being seen being used, so I am just curious where those two came in.

I would think all SAIDs actually in use on each EDACS system should be listed if only some are already listed in the DB. And now that the Denver P25 system is showing more signs of life, we are looking at those P25 patches that match up with the Denver PS EDACS patches and should be able to have a full list of those soon too.

Someone was asking me what SAID means.

System Assigned ID (SAID) is a group ID automatically assigned by the EDACS system when a
person at a console initiates a Patch or Simul-select. These SAIDs are assigned from a Master SAID pool programmed into each EDACS system. In the Denver Public Safety EDACS system, the ones I listed in the OP are the ones that the system has automatically been assigning (from the SAID pool) to patches.

Since Aurora EDACS SAIDs were mentioned earlier as 1-15 and only 1-4 is listed in RR, I decided to look further at what Aurora is currently using for SAID TGs.

In addition to the 1-15, they are also using 257 through 264. These, along with the 1-15 are being used in the SAID TG pool rotation when patching TGs.

I think I also saw 267 and 269 so they probably go higher but I have to confirm those two.
