Adjustment to the Classified forums rules

It would be nice if seller would be up front about the currency they are dealing in.

Additionally, it would be nice if the seller would also be clear about their country of origin as it can be a hassle to deal with customs. Especially if one gets spanked with extra fees to clear customs.

Their country should be easy to figure out from the "Location:" that's listed in every post.

Unless you choose to put lat/long instead of city/state/etc.

An astute observation, however you neglected to mention those people who choose to put nothing in that field.

And there are many who do just that, which makes it hard to answer their questions when they do not tell us where they are (and the answer really needs a location to help).

I wouldn't make any online deal without knowing either of those up front. If it's not listed, be sure to ask. Responsibility doesn't rest solely on the seller...

I'd add it to the rules, or a new Sticky, but it would probably take six months to a year for people to get the clue. :lol:

I'm considering just writing an application that takes the place of the For Sale and Wanted forums... and provides much more flexibility to the sellers and buyers than a forum. More details to follow.
